Hallo,

Hi,
I read your pages full of interest. It's interesting and alarming together. In any case it's fascinating, to read such detailed statements about the native country.
I found this site, 'cause I'm the webmaster of http://www.thomas-turnwald.de/atlantis , and in this year Dorothy Baer will wisit this place. I searched about getting contact and informations about her.

Many thanks for giving us insights into the terrors that you
and millions of others lived. I hope and pray that this
website may be a vehicle of catharsis for the Natt Family.
Perhaps we can all hope that these accounts will foster
more kindness and consideration for those we encounter
who are less fortunate. Thanks for the sobering stories.
I hope you can sense the sorrow and compassion we who visit
your site feel for your past plight into a living nightmare.
We wish you well!

My father and I recently completed a book on his experiences as a prisoner of war in Germany during World War II. Part of what I learned from my dad during the writing of the book, was the sadness he felt when he was watching the trains travelling by the prison camp, loaded up with Jewish people. Him and the other Canadian soldiers were trying to figure out how they could stop the trains or do something to help. But they would have been shot. Although he felt sadness, it wasn't until he was liberated that he actually found out what was going on inside those concentration camps. I have a hard time dealing with man's inhumanity to man and the treatment the Jews received during this time of history. I thank you all for writing down your stories. Maybe it will teach us all to be more tolerant and to not judge people because they have different beliefs.
God Bless You All!

I believe that Hitler was a crazy man who has murdered many inocent people and I feel for all of them. What I don't like is the fact that everyone seems to forget that 20.000.000 Russians were killed in the WW2, 6.000.000 Polaks, 2.000.000 Serbs... everyone is just talking about jews who suffered and they don't mention others. Holocaust is to be denounced, but others have suffered just as much and Russian folks even more!!!

No matter how much i read on the holocost I can never understand how people could have done those things to other human beings, so I keep reading but I know that i will never find any sense to it, there is none. Even though i am not a Jew and only 21 I try to learn instead of hate, forgive but to never forget, thank you to all of you for telling your stories for being so brave and strong.

I find the Holocaust a part of our history that is sicking
How people could do these things to others is beyound my understanding.
man can be so sick at times. I pray that we stop these things. But thet go on even today.
What does it take for us to learn?

After having read of your families stories, and particularly
Bernhards which was written with so much detail, I have sat
here in almost stunned disbelief, trying to come up with
what to say. And I find that words don't come easy.
Because reading it has brought about so many emotions.
I find it so hard to believe the cruelty which some humans
could inflict on their fellow man.
I also though find alot of inspiration in Bernhards story,
Because despite having gone thru so much, and each step of the
way seemingly worse than the next, that he fought, and hung
on to life, hoping for a better tomorrow.
I also found myself very happy, because it sounds like
his tomorrows worked out for him. And his dreams came true.
I think a great addition to your site would be some kind
of a brief followup of his years after this experience.
I have a feeling it would really show an important message,
of how Evil could not triumph in the end.
And lastly, to all of you and to all those you have lost,
I say God Bless you. And, God Bless us all, so that something
like this may never happen again. I think you do us all a
great service by sharing your story.

I found Bernard's story quite moving
and I am glad I have read it.
Thank-you for having it published on the internet
for it is important that people read and understand
what went on during those terrible years between 1933-45 in
Europe. Thank-you once again for creating a web page to
remember your family members who died in the holocaust.

i fell so bad for all the people who suffered in the holocaust. i've studied alot of it and feel for all the lives that were lost. my wishes and prayers go out to all that suffered this gruesome, prejudice crime, even those who suffered and servived. No one diserves this kind of pain no matter sex, race, nationality, color, - anything. I hope in the future that people will realize that all of thiscan be avoided- "learn to love one another!"

I sit here at my computor screen, after reading the web page, in utter disbelief. To read of the atrocities committed upon your family I am saddened by your families misfortune at the hands of such sadistic people. Yet, I am also moved by the spirit of your families strength to survive and commend the Natt family for their ultimate sacrifices. May God Bless you all.

The Holocaust was one of those things I always pushed to the back of my head. We recently read Night by Elie Weilsel and it opened my eyes to what it was really like. I am sure that no one can imagine what it was like if they weren't there, but I imagined everything as if it were happening to my own family. What if I was seperated from half of my family and was then treated like I was not even human? A lot of the Jewish people were much stronger than I am. I have so much respect for the people who had to endure all of that evil.

A most wonderful site. I read all of your accounts and i think they really show the bravery of the jews at the awful treatment suffered at the hands of crazed lunatics. I have only my school text book to glean iformation from and they give a rather 2-d picture of the holocaust. Your accounts really added a thrid dimesion in that they were the words of people who had been there and experienced this appalling rascism and hatred. Thank you.
