Notes About The Kulp Family

Fradle Kulp, who died in 1754, was the wife of Salomon Toeplitz, and therefore one of our ancestors. She belonged to the Kulp family who arrived in Frankfurt in the year 1505.

It is not possible to reconstruct her family tree since we do not know which branch of the Kulp family she came from. The very interesting history of this family is shown under the section "Documentation" further back. In line with the custom of the time, daughters were never mentioned as offspring of a family, but only boys. The only time girls were occasionally mentioned was upon their marriage.
